We believe that many if not all Barolo and Barbaresco tastings for at least 2020 and possibly part of 2021 will not occur because of Covid-19. For those of you that have never attended one, there can be up to 200 people vying to get to a table to get a glass of wine. Social distancing can not be done in cases such as this.
At the time of this writing, we have few bottles of Barolo or Barbaresco as well as Nebbiolo that are ready to drink in our collection. We are reluctant to take a bottle that we know is not ready to drink as much as we want to drink some of the finest wines in the world.
At this point, patience is the watchword. We strongly encourage the wearing of masks whenever you are in areas where there are people (outside as well as inside) and we also encourage social distancing.
