11-01-2026 We bought the 2017 Riserva del Fico six bottles in of September of 2020. I put them where they could not be opened as they were quite a lot of money. About three years ago, I talked to the owner of E. Molino what he thought when the wine would be ready to drink. He told me that he said it should be then. I had thought it should be ready in September, 2028.
We opened a bottle of 2026 to see it was coming along and see if the producer was correct. It is not ready. Next, we might open another bottle next year but we have a lot of wine for 2027 so may not do so. I still think it should be ready in 2028 or more.
No rush, friends, it is worth waiting!
